Jean-Pierre Avoine

Jean-Pierre Avoine got his Certificate in Film and Television from UCLA in 1998. He wrote several screenplays, including Toucher le Rêve (To Touch a Dream) developed with a grant from SODEC.

Avoine also produced and directed several shorts, most notably The Teapot and Heartstrings, the latter of which was selected by more than twenty festivals including the Montreal World Film Festival and the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québecois. Heartstrings won a Silver Remi Award at the 36th Annual WorldFest Houston, the Bronze Plaque Award at the 50th Annual Columbus International Film & Video Festival, and the Best Independent Drama Award at the 4th Annual Niagara Indie Filmfest.
